London has some of the best shopping in the world, whether you’re browsing the stores of the West EndKnightsbridge and Kensington or finding a gem in East London. There’s also a great range of shopping malls (or shopping centres as we like to call them in the UK), giving Londoners a great choice of places to shop.

But where are the best shopping malls in London located? That’s what we’re here to tell you with our guide to the best places to do some serious retail therapy in the capital. So get the credit card our and head to one of these great shopping malls.

1) Westfield London

Perhaps the most popular shopping mall in the capital, Westfield London is located in White City, just a stone’s throw away from Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush. There are 283 stores to browse, including high-end fashion shops in The Village section of Westfield. You’ll also find a ton of restaurants along the Southern Terrace and a massive Vue cinema with plenty of screens.

2) Westfield Stratford

London seems to have all the Westfields, with another site located in East London’s Stratford. There are 250 shops to explore, plus 70 places to grab a bite to eat, a huge Vue cinema complex and a casino in case you're feeling lucky. Westfield Stratford is also the largest shopping mall in the whole of Europe. We’re impressed.

Address: Montfichet Rd, London E20 1EJ

3) Brent Cross

We love Brent Cross because it’s one of the only places in the whole of London where you get free parking. That’s right; you can drive on down, hit up the car park and shop without paying a penny. Unless you’re spending money in fancy stores like Fenwick or buying a gadget or two at the stylish Apple shop, that is.

Address: Prince Charles Dr, Brent Cross, London NW4 3FP

4) Bluewater

Located on the outskirts of London, Bluewater Shopping Centre is more of a mini-city than it is a shopping mall. There are more than 330 stores for you to browse, plus 40 cafes, bars and restaurants, and 13 cinema screens. It’s the fifth largest shopping centre in the UK, behind Westfield London and Stratford, Trafford Centre and MetroCentre.

Address: Bluewater Pkwy, Dartford, Greenhithe DA9 9ST

5) Burlington Arcade

Burlington Arcade is often referred to as the world’s first shopping arcade after it first opened in 1819. It was initially built to stop locals from littering in the gardens next to Burlington House and was quite the feat when it first opened. Today, it doesn’t quite hold up to your Westfields and Bluewaters, but it’s a little slice of history in Mayfair, one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods.

Address: 51 Piccadilly, London W1J 0QJ

6) One New Change

One New Change is a slightly more understated shopping mall, with just a handful of stores and a few restaurants. But its location right in the heart of the City means that it’s one of the primary shopping attractions in London’s Square Mile. At One New Change, you will find stores like Hugo Boss, plus restaurants from the likes of Jamie Oliver. It’s also the location of a pretty snazzy rooftop bar with sweeping views over London’s skyline.

Address: New Change, London EC4M 9AF

7) London Designer Outlet

Located in Wembley Park, the London Designer Outlet is the place to go for fashion-lovers as it has some of the biggest names in the industry. Shop the looks from brands like Calvin Klein, Nike and Tommy Hilfiger at over 70 stores. Better yet, the clothes are priced at up to 85% off retail prices.

Address: Wembley Park Blvd, Wembley HA9 0FD

8) Angel Central Islington Shopping Centre

Angel and Islington are better known for their boutique stores along Upper Street, but you can still enjoy a shopping mall experience at Angel Central. Along with the shopping options, you can enjoy a bite to eat at one of the restaurants, watch a movie at the Vue cinema or catch your favourite band at the O2 Academy.

Address: 21 Parkfield St, London N1 0PS

9) Canary Wharf Shopping Centre

Discover style and pizzazz at the Canary Wharf Shopping Centre, the main retail hub in one of London’s most sought-after neighbourhoods. Expect to find luxury boutiques selling the latest fashion ranges, plus a large selection of plush restaurants around Canada Square.

Address: 1 Canada Square, London E14 5AB

10) Kingly Court

The next time you’re shopping at the boutiques on Carnaby Street, why not pay a visit to Kingly Court? It’s not your typical shopping centre with its open-air courtyard spread across three levels. Here, you will find a selection of independent boutiques, as well as stylish bars and cafes. It’s the perfect West End shopping experience for those who want something a bit more low-key.

Address: Kingly St, Carnaby, London W1B 5PW

11) ICON Outlet at The O2

The O2 Arena in Greenwich is one of London’s most popular tourist destinations for sporting and music events, but it also has a few shops where you can pick up a bargain. The Icon Outlet at the O2 first opened in 2018 and has become the go-to place for fashion, with 85 stores selling the top brands at 70% off.

Address: Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX

12) Old Spitalfields Market

Ok, so Old Spitalfields Market isn’t technically a shopping mall. But it does have a range of stalls selling quality goods as wellas places to eat and drink, which means it’s good enough for us. It’s a historic venue in the City where you can shop local, artisanal and vintage items. There’s also a ton of pop-ups, and the market has been going strong for 350 years.

Address: 16 Commercial St, London E1 6EW
